It's not widely-known but the entire Elder Scrolls series has had an online wiki since 1995 called UESP or Unofficial Elder Scrolls Page. It's technically unofficial but it has input and support from several members of Bethesda Softworks staff including lead game designer Todd Howard. It's a labor of love and the Skyrim area is a bit rough compared to the superb content of the Oblivion and Morrowind pages. (The Oblivion wiki is practically perfect.) Still it's my first resource ahead of the book even and it's improving daily.
