The game seems to have a few issues; First of all TB has a monster of a rig, and if he has to turn down settings because he gets framerate drops then the game probably is not well optimized.

It looks like they wanted to make an old-school, arcade style FPS, but incorporated some bad aspects of modern shooters; recharging health, bloody screen... so realistic, checkpoint saves, 3 inch vertical leap,

Arcadey shooters are not my thing, I prefer slower paced, more story-driven ones. But, yeah, if you want to pick it up cheap you'll probably be able as early as the Steam Christmas Sale.
