When I write regularly, as in every day, it's amazing how much I can accomplish.

My dirty little secret is that I have a job where I can spend at least two of the four hours I'm there writing. I've been working on a novel for almost a year now, and it's coming along quite nicely, thank you. I more or less have the beginning and the middle drafted, but I'm not at all sure how it will end. Eventually it will come to me.

What I'm finding most interesting about this whole process, is just how the novel is coming together. I do go off in directions that won't work, or I realize that I need to make some basic changes in some of what happens, so I have to go back and change some other stuff. But I am having a great time doing it.

I just hope eventually some publisher likes it as well as I do. And of course, the book-buying public.
