10. I last saw the movie some years back, on some movie channel.

My recollection is that the Joan Crawford character is far more important in the movie than in the book. In the book she's an editor who is a minor character in the first third or so of the book, then goes away.

The movie also offers a far more conventional and sanitized version of things.

But I do have it on my Netflix list, so I should be watching it fairly soon.
