last week, I went by an independent bookseller in Helena which hosted a book reading of Ivan Doig's last novel Last Bus to Wisdom. I had seen the notice of the reading and cursed because I missed it by one day. I bought a copy of the book to read/donate to my library back home and mentioned to the two women at the register that I was sorry to have missed that event and they gave me a bookplate with Ivan Doig's autographs on it. What a thrill. I will read the book (when I'm through with his other one) and donat Last Bus to Wisdom to my little community library here in Georgia. They have a few of his books, but nothing current. This will probably thrill the head librarian as much as it did me.

Hermatic, I hope you enjoy The Lacunaas much as I did. It is one of the most pleasurable reads I have ever had, but then I have loved everything Barbara Kingsolver has written.
