by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child following FBI Special Agent Aloysius Pendergast series. The story is a continuation of the novel The Cabinet of Dr. Leng where Pendergast is tracking a serial killer, Dr. Leng, who is also an ancestor of his. The story also involves Pendergast travels back in time to the 1880s to confront Dr. Leng.
