(10,885 posts)8. Reading fantasy because I can't stand the world right now
I just finished a duology called The Five Daughters of the Moon by Leeti Likalainen. It's (very) loosely based on the last days of the Romanov sisters. It tends to be slightly hard to follow at times because each chapter is told from the POV of a different sister, but it's beautiful, and of course sad. Ending is, however, quixotic, and I didn't know quite what to think. I loved it, though. AFAIK it may only be available on Kindle, but I'm not sure about that.
Now reading Queen Mab, by Kate Danley. This one is a very different take on Romeo and Juliet. I just started it last night and it promises to be different indeed!
