Medicare D problem [View all]

When I went to pick up the medication that had been prescribed the pharmacist told me that it's not covered by my Medicare D provider (First Health) because it's a 'supplement', not a medication. And there's no way I can afford to buy it out of pocket.

Has anyone else run into this kind of thing? And can I find out if other providers hold the same opinion of such meds?
