I had a reverse total shoulder replacement earlier this year and the surgeon told me to take one of each at the same time every 6-8 hours. I was amazed at how much better the combination worked. I didn't need prescription pain meds at all.

My stomach doesn't tolerate long-term ibuprofen use, but I can take it with Tylenol occasionally when my arthritis pain is especially bad.
