A common word in the articles is 'methylation'.

Newborns are routinely screened for methylation issues. A common issue is MTHFR related. Serious birth defects can be prevented with simple methylated folate. This compensates for babies with genetic codes that do not process ordinary folate, so the methylated folate enables them to absorb the folate that they need for health. This is just the tip, of the tip of the iceberg, for such interests.

Another simple example. A longtime friend of mine at 64 had his right leg go numb at times. Scary. All sorts of tests done. Nothing. Then, his conventional doctor gave him orders to rush to ER and get a certain blood test done. Findings were a B vitamin deficiency in his leg! The body did not transfer that B vitamin to the leg.The Rx tried was a conventional extra dose of that B vitamin [I don't remember which it was], each morning. Result, no more numb leg.

Leaping forward a bit, there is an iceberg of potentials that are being worked on. Peptides [target amino acid delivery systems] are in abundance, [you may have notice 'hair-skin-nails' collagen products on store shelves and cataglogs]. There many more peptides, nootropics work [in varying degrees], etc., etc.

Very interesting, promising and fruitful stuff.

Hope this helps a little.
