Even though, in my experience, the younger generations are very nice to us old folks when they help us with the technology.
Recently I was in a Best Buy, purchasing a new printer/scanner/photocopier. (Am I the only one here who is TOTALLY amazed that I can actually own such a thing?) Anyway, I expressed my appreciation that kids like him never roll their eyes at people like me (at least I've never seen any of them do that) when I ask a lot of dumb questions.
I've been debating going from a simple phone that I can text on, to finally getting a smart phone. And then I hear stories like yours and I think, Why bother?
Oh, and I'm practically a kid amongst you old farts: Turned 69 on August 23.
