I had a bit of a cluster fuck because I didn't have a virtual or face-to-face doc appt. I sent doc 2 messages through the patient portal requesting a sleep study.

But the doc did not listen & order the WatchPat One I had requested. He ordered a "ring" from Blackstone Medical. Never heard of this company, but it instantly set my hackles on end. I think it reminded me of Eric Prince's mercenaries.

Anyway, a quick google revealed a score of "F" with the BBB & hundreds of unresolved complaints.

Back to the portal to direct doc AGAIN to do whst I had originally requested. So I asked him to order from Itamar, mfr of device I'd requested. They never contacted me, returned my voice mails or emails. He sent rx there on Oct 4!

So fuck it. I started hunting & found a nice article published by the Coumcil on Aging about The Sleep Doctor. So off I went, met with a doc, got an rx, received & completed the test & had another appt. Sadly, they do not accept Medicare assignment for eqpt. & the 3rd party vendor they use does not serve the 3rd world of TN.

Off to hunt for a vendor...

What a nightmare. But I'm glad it's all resolved.
