Julianne Moore Calls For Stricter Gun Laws

The mother of two is worried that her kids will be impacted by the mass killing of 20 children and 6 adults. She wanted to hide the incident from her kids, as Huffington Post pointed out, but thanks to the smartphone, her daughter found out.

“Simply keeping the news away from my child was putting my head in the sand. I wasn’t helping her, or anyone else, by doing that.”

America has strict gun laws in 18 states, but the remaining states are still to be awakened. Moore asked every woman of America to join the movement through an internet essay for Lena Dunham’s newsletter.

The passionate essay written by the 55-year-old actress was based on facts. The states where gun safety loopholes were closed have reported 46 percent less murders by intimate partners, 48 percent less firearm-enabled suicides, and 48 percent less homicides by police firing. Julianne Moore wants the other states to react soon.
