If gun buyers/sellers in the US jumped through all these hoops I think the US gun violence rate would be similar to that of the Swiss.

I don't. I don't think Bloomberg really believes that either. For one thing, criminals don't go to FFLs, gun shows, or random private sales in the newspaper. That has been well known in criminology circles since the 1980s.
How many heroin deaths do they have? In 2013, there were 8555 gun murders in the US. There were 8560 heroin overdose deaths. That's just Heroin. In case you are wondering what the connection is, heroin has been banned since 1914.
