2. FIV and FIP are not the same disease

FIV is Feline Immunodediciency virus and is now known not to be as deadly as once thought.

FIP is feline infectious peritonitis and had been until recently a death sentence for cats.

There is a new treatment protocol that had been on the black market for a couple of years but is now (as of June, 2024) available for vets to legally prescribe. It is GS-442525 and is a form of Remdesvir that was used in COVID-19 patients.

As a long time rescuer - my gratitude to you for loving an FIV cat and taking such good care of him.
