Heat gun, scrapers, turpentine, lacquer thinner, paint stripper.. all are tools to try, see if they give decent results.

For the chemical solutions, you'll want to get a good respirator, though. Not just a dust mask.

Glue soaked into an unsealed wood floor is the only real problem with this one. IrishAyes Dec 2013 #4

Oxalic acid (wood bleach) will even out glue staining a bit, but it still may end up kind of patchy. X_Digger Dec 2013 #5
