17. I have success with using liquid meal replacements

I have lost almost 45 pounds since August using a plan suggested by my medical provider. As I have multiple medical issues I needed to take what I saw as drastic measures to reduce my body weight. My insurance would not cover bariatric surgery so I am biting the bullet and on a low calorie, lower carb, low fat program. It was a big leap for me as by nature I have been hostile to the idea of food replacements and artificial products in general. My "normal" eating plan was primarily Vegan. I tried the McDougall plan which just did not work for me..(sadness--I know others have had great success)

So anywhoo....What works for one person may not work for another.

If you want to try a protein shake Costco carries Muscle Milk Light for a good price. It doesn't taste bad. I don't use it any longer as I use another plan's shakes. Some days I have as many as three a day. I am feeling much better physically than I have in years and my chronic pain has subsided somewhat.

I still have hungry days with this way of eating but for the most part I am able to stick with the plan almost 100 % My cheating pretty much consists of eating more veg and protein than I should...
