there are lots of pills too, for a 21 day cleanse. I lost 12 lbs. It works because you body is getting all the nutrients you need, so you don't feel hungry. You can eat all the fruits and veggies you want. The shake is not tasty, but not unpleasant... I looked at it as simply fuel.
