Contracted Eastern-Barr (back in the 80's).Took online survey in '95. Had 19 of 22 symptoms. About 1986-87, my PCP said: "It's academic." It was considered a disorder in one's 'head'. If I got a virus, it would last months. The initial accute symptoms subsided, but I was in a slump energy-wise. This fatigue/lethargy affects your mind.
Husband reposed 4 years ago. Cardiac arrest. I keep busy, have a very small circle of 'friends', but feel more and more isolated as time advances. I don't want to be 'needy'. I give passes to some who I kinda sorta expected to keep supporting me even at a minimum.
Presently I'm limiting news intake. Repetitive mention of you-know-who and his ilk.
I am not a fan of mood altering meds. There may be an underlying issue like thryroid that I been meaning to check out.
Was hospitalized November '21. ER said covid. Perhaps but asymptomatic. Find out 2 months later reading my chart, systemic infection (UTI), E coli, sepsis. Not positive I went into sepsis or was close. So this experience contributes.
Forgive me please. I overshot the runway.

This might not be helpful, but the engineer in me would do an assessment of what has changed

Thanks much for your words. Yes, I gratefully 'seize' moments of joy, nature's beauty and her gifts.
