I think there's something in there for just about everyone and everything. I sure understand where you're coming from, but I also agree with "take what you want and leave the rest." At the meeting I went to tonight, the member who led the meeting decided to close with the Lord's Prayer - his choice. But I know his story and he really is a miracle - so if that's what works for him, I don't have a problem with it. My personal choice is the Responsibility Declaration. My sponsor, Jewish, but not religious, chose to close any meeting she started with that, so that's been my choice, too.
