1. I feel bad for her, but it's really TMI

Women have m/c all the time. I've had 5 in my lifetime and they are very sad, but I'm not sure I need to know that she had one. It doesn't really make me feel "bonded" with her or "close" to her - so I'm not sure what the point of the announcement was.

That being said - in this case, she appears to have chosen to talk about it rather than her privacy being invaded, so she kind of put herself out there. It does bother me that celebrities are so idolized that anyone feels we need to know so much about their lives.
