For me the saddest thing is that Ms. Chapman does not have control over her creation and gets no royalties from sales of the character. Ms Chapman did an interview with CNN and told the anchors that because this is an animation she does not have any control over the character even though she created the character. She also said she does not get any share of the money Disney makes off of the character.
I think that rule should be changed. She should get royalties from the sells that come from this character. In addition, if she wants she should be able to have some control over what changes are made to the character she created.
