has been going on since there was a place called America and especially since a large part of the North American continent became a nation - and a greedy land-hungry one.

Used to be we'd just send warships and then planes with bombs. Now we export capitalists to infiltrate the local economies.

I come (I think) from a line of Scandinavian invaders of the British Isles who settled down for a bit and then headed off to North America to take advantage. I'm sure the path of my ancestors out of Africa was not more peaceful and idyllic. I shouldn't cast stones and I doubt anyone can look at their place in evolution and think that they are saintly.
