Jews have been living there for thousands of years, going back to biblical times. All politics aside, the Jews of Hebron are not settlers, they are indigenous Jews who have the right of self determination, freedom of movement and right to maintain, control and protect their cultural heritage as codified by the United Nations in the Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples*.
