Did Ukraine Just Effectively Disable a Third of Russia's Shadow Fleet in One Strike? - William Spaniel [View all]



Earlier today, Ukraine struck one of Russia's "shadow fleet" vessels as it was transiting the Mediterranean Sea. Today's video looks at the logistical consequences. Some back-of-the-envelope calculations show that if Russia abandons taking the Suez Canal shortcut, Russia effectively loses between 27% and 37.5% of its fleet. Thus, unless Russia figures out a solution to this problem, it faces some severe economic consequences.
