1. I hate to say this, but this pic is extremely

similar to what I saw in my local grocery vegetable section yesterday. Entire sections, just empty. No idea when the next shipment in coming in, and prices for what was there were sky high. Granted, this is just one grocery store in a fairly small town, but it is a chain store and it's not the first time this has happened. Blew my mind when I went in for a bunch of cilantro and there was NONE just after the 4th of July.

I'm assuming climate change is hitting us at the stores already. I know our growing season around here is changing, and even the farmer's market hasn't been as productive and varied as in the years passed. I know beyond the changing growing zones, there's been fires, droughts, and floods. This is going to start impacting us more and more, I'm afraid. I wish I'd I'd snapped a pic yesterday at my Price Chopper so you can see what I was talking about... or at the Walmart where there were only like 3 or 4 loaves of bread left on the shelf. I just didn't think of it at the time... drat!
