If mangled, just the back straps can be saved. After skining the deer you can see the bad meat. It’ll be black from the blood on the damaged parts. The rest is good. On warm days, it must still be fresh and cooled right away. I throw a bag or 2 of ice inside the deer to cool it. This one had a couple of broke legs so it couldn’t get up. Was able to save all of the meat.
