1) Parental apathy and it spreads throughout the household leading to poor performance in school by the kids
2) Inadequate training programs to create a skilled workforce
Many more but getting parents engaged and working with more flexible times when they can interact with the school that their children attend. Maybe the media should cover model families and how they turned things around.
Better funding for worker advanced training programs that allow people to rise up from starter/minimum wage jobs
