We have a national certification exam (CPP) and are trained to sniff out this exact thing - violation of wage and hour laws. Obviously no one there is doing that. I’ve always worked for honest employers but I’ve caught some minor stuff my husband’s company have tried to pull (like unpaid meetings); they now trust me as an unpaid “advisor” on these issues. Wage theft is a HUGE problem and Republicans of course would like to pretend it doesn’t exist.
