I suspect that the author meant to say that the guy has to stop if she changes her mind - which is fair enough (albeit not very nice), but "sex" has already occurred, and you can't retroactively withdraw consent.
Hell, way too often we outright tell them that they have no right to withdraw consent once sex has started.
