Kerry wasn't silent. He made a statement a few weeks back, unequivocally defending Rice, and that should have been enough. What was he supposed to do? Go on all Sunday and other shows singing her praises. They WERE up for the same job.

As to ridicule: You know that JK can take it. This wouldn't be the first time they went after him. He's a big boy and can handle himself
