It is openly stated in the language in the various US laws and Acts that created the US extraterritorial sanctions on Cuba.

The vast majority of the Cuban people IN CUBA prefer their socialist system of gov't.

So, the US sanctions were SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED to undermine and cripple the Cuban economy - in futile hopes that Cubans in Cuba would wrongly blame their own gov't.

Viva Cuba!
