2. I've tried that and it doesn't work, all of the Gmail icons take me to create a new account

with no option to simply log on to my existing account, a method that I've used literally decades for this account. I can, however, log on to Gmail on my cell phone, but it takes forever for me to hunt and peck a message. I have restarted my Chromebook with no luck.
