marketing vs reality, fantastic(?) gizmos

super duper stuff, advertised with great fanfare and overly-positive expectations.

some further details don't show up until after you pay... such as price details for service.

works in zillions of countries. fantastic coverage implied.
they don't seem to point out that you must be within range of a cell tower.
(doesn't work over the entire country)

your smart phone may do the same thing and you're already paying for it.
