8. I'd rather deal with AT&T than Comcast...

...and that's not saying much.



My wife's parents live in a rural area but they are fortunate to be roughly line-of-sight of an AT&T cell phone tower, unlike many of their neighbors who must suffer satellite internet, if they have internet at all. My wife's parents get both their internet and phone service through AT&T's tower. The old phone lines in the area are not even good enough for reliable dial-up service.

My wife and I have an inexpensive DSL connection and $8.99 a month Netflix. That's pretty much all I'm comfortable paying for that stuff.

Comcast would have to pay me to do business with them. We cut our cable a long time ago.
