2. Are you familiar with the Canadian maple syrup cartel?

They store maple syrup to sell when there are low production years.... stored in 55 gallon drums in warehouses.

That usually works pretty well. At least it did until a million gallons were stolen out of the warehouse.


Not quite related, this was before the theft, about 15 years ago, I was on vacation in Nova Scotia. We stopped at a flea market near New Brunswick. A guy was selling gallon cans of maple syrup for $10, Canadian. Vemont Country Store was selling it for $14 a pint.
