in supporting their governments are the reasons they are leaving. Maybe if they had a chance to escape poverty and oppression in their own country they wouldn't be risking their lives along with their children's lives traveling thousands of miles in slight hope of being admitted. Why are they coming here? What can we do to support them in their own country? It may be cheaper to support them there than to support them here.
