There is a road across the southern part of Lab. It goes from the ocean to Quebec.

It used to be a gravel road with potholes and whatever. It was paved two years ago. When you enter, you are loaned an emergency satellite radio in case you encounter an emergency. You turn it in when you leave the road.

Drivers are also advised to take a mounted full spare tire.

I have an emergency signal beacon so I probably won't need the radio but I will take it anyway.

I expect it will take three days for me to reach Labrador and the entire trip will take about 10 days. I will likely add stops to the trip. September is probably the best time to take that trip. Summer is mosquito heaven. August to early Sept. is black fly season.

I would leave around Sept 5th.
