Loving County is a county in the U.S. state of Texas. With a population at 64 during the 2020 census,[2] it is the least populous county in the United States with a permanent population. Its county seat and only community is Mentone.[3] The county was originally created in 1887, and after being disorganized in 1897, was reorganized in 1931.
