And was carrying an AK-47 himself. It would have been difficult for Perry to feel threatened, though, since he had just driven his car into a crowd of anti-police violence protesters, which is how he encountered Foster. He shot the guy then took off, so it would have been difficult to find a jury that would have agreed with him thinking he was threatened.

I'm not sure why all of his racist, white supremacist, KKK rhetoric wasn't admitted in the trial, since he was obviously enraged over an anti-police protest, and over a white guy protesting in it.
