which was back in the seventies, we used to eat at the Bessinger's on Highway 17 all the time. Was this place Maurice's? Or did it belong to another member of the Bessinger clan. I know that, many years later, we went by his place off Hwy 26 in Columbia, and were shocked to pieces at all the Confederate flags and what looked like KKK stuff on display there. Couldn't wait to get out of this place and honest, we were just there for the Barbeque.
