when they retire.

It's absolutely ridiculous that legislators who serve in top leadership positions for a long time can get a bigger pension than they ever got in salary. One of the long time D/R leadership is getting a 5 figure monthly pension and even more insulting is that his ex-wife is getting half which is also 5 figures/month!

Plenty of retired teachers are getting 2-3k/mo for comparison.

There definitely needs to be a cap on what our "part-time" legislators can receive as a state pension.
