1. PDX's response to protestors: the beatings will continue until morale improves

In other words, ridiculously vindictive with the shit hitting the fan night after night. Their efforts to break the will of protestors at the fence around the justice center has not gone well.

Like those in Seattle, there’s been a daily standoff in Portland between the righteously angry protestors and the impudent policing/military authorities stubbornly wielding noxious power.

I hope the police chief resigning is some kind of a start to a new tack, but I remain skeptical. Real systemic reform is needed, not a reshuffling of the same brains that came up with recent methods deployed on Americans in Portland.
