I'm sorry, but I'm not buying their excuse that they need a firearm to protect themselves from other kids.
I know the urban streets are a mean place these days, but they always have been. I suspect many kids want to carry a piece because of the street culture that glorifies the Nine or a Glock in the waistband as an accessory, much like a hoodie or a Raiders cap. Plus, it's a lot cheaper than a diamond implanted grille.
