2. What do you mean "trending"?

Republicans have controlled the NC General Assembly since 2011 and have gerrymandered themselves quite a majority, even though this state is basically 50-50. They also changed judicial races from non-partisan to partisan, so that those running for judgeships have party affiliation by their names.

I don’t know what the NC Dem party has been doing lately. They used to totally ignore rural areas, figuring that our strength was in urban areas. Yesterday, though, the turnout in some urban areas was horrible. We need to get our act together, and fast!
