I had the same thoughts. Beasely loss was disappointing but imo losing 2 state supreme court seats is devastating. In the past NC has often split races, or they've been closer. At least we did elect a Dem to our new 14th congressional seat.

The fact that we lost the Senate by 3 points and also lost the state supreme court does not bode well for us moving forward.

Gerrymandering, abortion and voting rights, all in the hands of a red state supreme court.

And I wonder about our governor in 24, Cooper won't be running due to term limits.
I ask myself, will they elect another Dem in order to appear bipartisan? Or will they embrace their racist selves and just turn NC red?

A lot of us in NC are grumpy and disappointed and discouraged about our results.
