the ads by some PAC I'm not familiar with (and that was apparently created just for the purpose of defeating Omar) were so over-the-top and borderline defamatory that they put me off her opponent, obviously the opposite of what the ads intended. Antone seems to be a competent, qualified candidate who would be a good Congressman, but I also got to thinking about the fact that Omar has now been in Congress for a term and knows the ropes. She is the DFL-endorsed candidate. Most importantly, as far as I'm concerned, is the fact that Nancy Pelosi is supporting her. So despite my misgivings, and hoping Omar will have learned how to avoid unnecessarily making herself controversial and won't be doing any more dumb and offensive things like refusing to support the resolution about the Armenian genocide, I voted for her on my absentee ballot, which I sent in last week. I'm giving her one more chance to grow up, stop showboating and represent her district.
