10. Here's something that's even worse.

I read something as awful as this, and even though my empathy allows me a little insight into how shocked, angry and maybe even scared Musab Hussein felt, because I am very empathetic, I'm still not surprised.

The George Floyd tragedy DID surprise me, but not from the POV of the underlying hate and denial of humanity. The barbarism and blatant arrogance of it added the shock.

This anecdote, however infuriating for us, and demeaning for Mr. Hussein, is a movie we've seen again and again. What a world.
