1. I'm voting for the Ready By Five and Kent District Library millages, but no on the sports complex proposal.

The two millages I mentioned are important, and they need to pass. I wish the Ready By Five millage was higher, but Republicans on the County Commission wanted to just renew it at the current level rather than raise it.

The sports/entertainment complex is a no for me. This would basically subsidize the DeVoses' and Van Andels' next big project. Last time I checked, they have enough money to pay for it themselves. Taxes should benefit society as a whole, particularly the marginalized and vulnerable.
