and I wish Virginia would! We get cats occasionally at the shelter who have been declawed. It's a CRUEL practice. Imagine if someone not only removed your fingernails but the first joint of your fingers! I got really mad at an online friend who allowed his husband to have their cats declawed "so they wouldn't mess with the drapes". He never spoke to me after that.
